Well, I have been MIA for the latter part of last week! Sorry about that, I just let life get in the way! LOL Actually when my husband has days off from work, I like to spend the day catching up with him and blogging usually doesn't make it into the agenda!
Actually, we had a pretty fun weekend. Friday, we got some errands out of the way and had to spend most of the day inside because it was nasty and rainy! Saturday, it was cold and snowy but we decided we had been in long enough and took the puppies to the local Botanical Garden for the Bow Wow Boneanza! They let you walk around the Garden with your pups (they are only allowed in winter) and they had some vendors set up and they had a dog agility course up that you could try. Well, Scout is a mama's boy and he likes to stay close (he is a rescue) but Max is pretty fearless. He LOVED the attention and he also LOVED the agility course! I mean, we walked him through one time and showed him what to do, and the second time, he sprinted the whole course and LOVED it! His favorite part was the tunnel! The guy that owns the agility training place told us to bring him to classes because he did so well! We were proud parents! Scout was also a proud big brother! He watched him the whole time!
Sunday, we tried a new church and didn't care for it. Then, we came home and watched a movie (AND BOOKED A FLIGHT TO PALM BEACH IN THE SPRING) before heading to my parents house to watch the super bowl. They are huge Steelers fans, so it was a let down for them. I was super disappointed from the beginning. How do you mess up the National Anthem Christina? I mean really? That is pretty disgraceful! Then the commercials were not THAT great, they have been better, and the halftime show was a story in its own! It was just a no-go the whole way through.
Here's to hoping this week is a good one and it doesn't get too cold!!

As usual...
Things have been pretty hectic around here! Although things are starting to settle into more of a routine! We are now into football season, which is going well for my Tide! Which means a happy Becky! Max is doing ok. He is a rambunctious little one! He is growing leaps and bounds!! We are still working on training everyday!! He is getting a lot better, but he is so headstrong, I feel like it may be a little more difficult than it was with Scout! But he is SO much fun! He and Scout are getting along so great! They play all the time! It is so cute!
So, since I have mentioned football season and the dogs, can I tell you how excited I am about my new purchase (which should be here today when I get there)...
I ordered 2 of these:

If you know anything about Alabama, you know that houndstooth is one of our things, so I thought this would be a great way for our little furry family memebers to participate in football season! It may be a little big for Max right now, but I am sure it won't take him long to grow into it!! They came from Crate and Barrel who now have pet accessories!! Hope you all have a fantastic week! Hopefully I won't be a stranger!

Back Again!!
I feel like I apologize for my absence way too much lately!! Things have just been a little more than hectic around here lately! We have officially had the puppy, now named Max for a whole week (plus some)!! He is sleeping through the night, he is bell trained to go outside and potty, he can sit, lay, come and heel! All in a week! I must say we have worked with him NON-STOP, but it has been so worth it! He has learned to get up on the furniture, which is ok with us. But it is so cute! When he gets much bigger, he won't be able to sit up there with me! HA! Last night was the first night that Emory and I got to sit down and watch tv and we didn't even sit next to each other like we normally do! Why? Well, because Scout and Max were fighting with sitting in the chair with Mommy and ended up with BOTH of them laying on top of me and each other! Needless to say, there was no room for Emory! One day, they will each be sitting on their own couch and then maybe E and I can sit together again!! Ha! He is doing really well, and is actually giving Scout lots of confidence! It has been really great! Well, that is my quick little update on me and the boys!! I will be back soon with a better one!!

Woof people, woof!
Hey humans! This is Scout, the best dog on the planet! (I'm not bragging or anything, just repeating what I have heard.) I am at work and I thought I would help my mom out and entertain you people while she is at lunch! She has been really busy working, so I thought I would get on this thing and tell you a little about me and my day.

So, you know my name, it's Scout. I was born in a place you may know called Tuscaloosa, AL. (Before you ask, yes, I am an Alabama fan.)I was born in a place with a really mean family and then one day, my mom adopted me and I went to live with her and boy am I glad I did! I am still a little scared of some things, but I think I am so much better than I used to be! I am almost 4 years old, that is almost 28 in human years for those of you who are slow at math.

My favorite things to do are to play ball, tug of war, use my cute eyes to get treats, play with other dogs, run in circles, and go visit my grandparents. I also like to cuddle with my mom. I don't like the white stuff or the things that make noise inside toys that my mom gives me, so I take it out as soon as soon as I get a toy! That stuff has to go!
She may have told you that I got a job! That's right! I get to go to work with her everyday! It is great! I get really excited when we get in the building and I run up all the stairs to the 4th floor. I don't like the thing called the elevator, so I make my mom come with me up the stairs. She is a little slower than I am, but I meet her at the top. A dog has to exercise, right? I run in the office to see who all is there first. I like it because I get lots of treats throughout the day. But my most favorite part of the day is when all the humans get together for something called a staff meeting. I make sure that I have all of my toys out and ready to play! I get really excited!
Another thing I like to do is to lay and watch the door. When new people come in the office, I let them know who's boss (me, of course). It is funny to mess with them and growl a little, if you knew me, you would know I wouldn't hurt a fly. I have gotten used to the humans who bring the big boxes and envelopes everyday, they even say hi to me. They are cool, so I don't mess with them anymore.

I am still working on getting my own office, but for now, I just share with my mom. I guess it is fun being out in the open where I can keep an eye on what is going on. I get more treats that way. Well, it is about time for my afternoon nap and I think my mom should be back soon. I need to steal a treat off her desk before she gets back.

Have a great day humans! Nice to meet ya!

Football Friday Part 3
Well, I don't have much time today, I am SUPER busy at work. But I couldn't leave you hanging without mentioning the Crimson Tide, I know all of you would be so heartbroken. (Kidding, I know you probably get tired of hearing about it). Anyway, Alabama is hosting the University of North Texas. I don't much about them except that they are called the "Mean Green". Anyway, here's to hoping for a win! I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I am going to see the Zac Brown Band tonight in the Gump, so it should prove to be interesting and fun if it doesn't rain! Scout is still at the office, and everyone is loving him. He mostly just sleeps and gets lots of treats. He jumps up everytime someone comes in the door and people think he is just so cute! Have a great weekend, I will catch up with you Monday!! Roll Tide

New Job Title

Well, someone has a new job title in my house and it isn't me. That's right, its Scout! I work in a small company and we have been begging our boss to get an office dog. We think it will make things more fun, everyone can get a little boost when they need someone to play with or need an excuse to go outside (since no one smokes). Scout has joined the office (on a trial basis for now) as the new Go To Guy for a better day at the office. It has been proven in studies that having a dog in the office can help employees relieve stress just by petting the dog and makes for an overall friendlier work environment. Today is (half) day one. We'll see how the rest of the week goes! So far so good. I never thought I'd see the day that my little guy got a job. They grow up so fast! ;) What about you guys? Do you work in dog-friendly offices or know someone who does?

Feels Like Fall
Who didn't love the weather this weekend?? It was absolutely WONDERFUL! I actually got to sit on my screened porch and drink coffee and eat my breakfast without dying from heat and humidity! I actually needed a cardigan! Then again, this morning, when I went for my run, I needed a jacket because it was cool!Fall is in the air and I am SO excited! Football season is almost here! That is the BEST time of year! I had a pretty relaxing weekend, but Sunday, I spent it at the park reading and playing with my favorite little man:

Enjoy your week! It is going to be a GREAT one!! :)

Dance as though no one is watching.....
So, Sunday was Mother's day, and since I don't live near my family, we celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday! My mom and I did what all mothers and daughters do...shop and eat! :) Seriously, it was a good day, I think she enjoyed it! (I know I did)
On Mother's Day, Sunday, I took the time to enjoy the day and being lazy! I slept a little late (not on purpose) and missed church. But, after that, I just cooked myself (and Scout, my dog) breakfast, enjoyed the weather on my screened porch, and literally sat around and lounged all day. It was so nice for a change. I did manage to get some cleaning done (like the dishes), but other than that, it was a lazy day!
Anyway, at some point, after watching all the movies I could stand on Lifetime and ABC Family, and I was trying to get myself motivated to clean, I decided to turn off the TV and turn on my iTunes and jam. Now, if you know me, you know that I am a notorious "microphone singer" and I make a microphone out of random objects whether it be my hand curled into a fist, a hairbrush, a remote control, or whatever. Anyway, I was getting myself motivated to clean and ended up breaking into a "microphone song" and dance, much like the infamous scene from Risky Business...... I was having a good ole time. Scout was out on the porch enjoying a bone, so I had the door open that leads to the porch. (Side note: my porch faces the street and I have houses across the street.) I finished singing and dancing to my song and decided to check on Scout, I went and looked out on the porch only to notice that the neighbors across the street (a lady and her husband) were looking my way. I was instantly embarrassed because I knew they had probably scene my little routine....oh well, not much I can do about it now, I just waved. Now, when I see them, at least they know that I can let loose, maybe they will speak more often! :)
Hope my little embarrassing story helped brighten your day. And if you are laughing at me, it is ok. You aren't the first one, and I sometimes laugh at myself, as I do this little "song and dance" often whether it be at home or in my car...I just can't help it! ;)
