It's FRIDAY!!
I feel like this has been the longest two weeks ever!! One of the sweet girls I work with lost her father unexpectedly on Friday, January 13th and has been out ever since. We are a small office to begin with, so we are all taking on extra work to make sure everything is covered while she is out and healing. Needless to say, things have been BUSY at work!! Emory has been traveling a lot, so things have been crazy at home too! I am usually off on Fridays to catch up on my homework for law school or to clean house or do things that I would normally do on Saturdays but can't. Well, I worked last Friday and I am here again. I really don't have to be here today, but I think it would help me sleep better at night to know I got some of it done before I go home!! But, I always forget how happy people are on Fridays because I am not really at work any more. So, here's to you Friday! Thanks for showing up and bringing a smile to so many!! Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!

FRIDAY!
Ya'll, can you believe it is Friday?! In high school, we used to have a teacher who would make her classes sing "The Friday Song," you could hear it all through the hall on Fridays. I still remember hearing it, and even though it sounded pretty annoying, it was always a great reminder that it was finally Friday! Anyway, I am SO excited! I love Fridays! Everyone is always extra nice and happy! I am feeling kind of craft today and I really want to make a wreath out of book pages! Have any of you ever done this? If so, did you make the rolled pages or the rosette one?! I am just curious! I have LOTS of errands to run today it seems! But, that is ok! I also think I get to hang out with one of my good friends so that should be fun! I am really looking forward to a great Friday! Hope you all have a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend!!

Friday!!!
I can't believe Friday is here already! It seems like this week has flown by! Which, I am SO glad that it has flown! I am ready to see E! He has been in Germany this week and the house has been SO stinking lonely! But, not much longer. This week's weather has been such a tease. It has been in the 70's but today it is storming! Yesterday was such a long day for me. First, I had to go with my grandmother to the doctor and to run a few errands. Then I came home and did some quick things around the house. Then, watched Ellen, if you watched yesterday, the girl Katie at the end who asked Ellen for tickets to Idol and then Ellen sent her to cover the red carpet, was a girl I went to elementary, middle and high school with. She is so cute and sweet and I am anxious to hear how it went, I am hoping that Ellen will show her today!! Then, my mom and I went to a wine and painting class and painted an Eiffel Tower. It was so much fun! I will have to show you the painting, or if you are my FB friend, you can see it. Now, it is Friday and the weekend is upon us and I couldn't be more excited! I hope you all have a GREAT weekend! I hope the weather cooperates for all of you! :)

First Friday!
Good morning! Well, it is Friday! This marks the end of my first week in my new home, in my new (old) town, and having a new day to day! This week has FLOWN by! I can't believe it! I still have a few boxes, not too many though, and hopefully I can knock them out this weekend! Then, next week, E will be in Germany for the week and I will hopefully get some more settled in and things put away. We are in head first with wedding planning! Very exciting! It is all falling into place! Maybe I can get back into regular blogging next week, when I get into a little more of a routine! Hope everyone is having a GREAT week and will have some great weather for the weekend! I think we are going to have some pretty good weather here, so maybe it will be a GREAT weekend!! See you all next week! Here is a sneak peek of our engagement pictires!!

Ends and Beginnings
Today is FRIDAY! It is bittersweet! I am ending my first "big girl" job out of college after three years. I am moving back to my hometown which is where I will settle with E, plan a wedding, be closer to my family and begin a new chapter! I am so excited to see where this journey takes us!
Hope you all have a happy Friday! Think of me tomorrow while I (and when I say I, I mean E and my dad) am packing a UHAUL and moving! Should be so much fun!

Friday!!!
I am SO glad Friday is finally here! I am going back to Huntsville for the weekend! I have so much to do and little time to do it all, so staying on track is VERY important!!

Life's a dance....
...we learn as we go, sometimes we lead, sometimes we follow. Don't worry 'bout what you don't know. Life's a dance we learn as we go.

Friday is finally here! I have been begging for its arrival all week! I feel like it has taken FOREVER to get here! But, it is in fact here and I am so excited! I have needed this weekend! I am ready to see E (it has been 2 weeks!!) and I am ready to see my BFF (it has been almost 2 years) and I just need to breathe! I feel like I have being going around in circles lately. I haven't been in the best of moods and I have been letting situations that are out of my control, control me. So today, I was driving to work and listening to the radio and the song "Life's a Dance" came on and I think it was exactly what I needed to hear! Especially before the start of my Friday and what could turn out to be a great weekend! So here's to learning to dance...and letting someone else lead. Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm sure I will have lots to tell on Monday!

FRIDAY!!!
Can I just say that I am SO excited that Friday is finally upon us! I can't wait! Hopefully I have another relaxing weekend in order. It is supposed to be rainy here all weekend, but I really don't mind. I do know one thing that I am going to do and that is go through all of my clothes, a perfect project for a rainy day! It is time for some Spring cleaning! I bet over half of my clothes are too big and wasting room in my closet! My wardrobe is in serious need of an update and I am going to work on that slowly but surely! I am going to clean out my closet and then donate my clothes! If I haven't worn it in a while, I am getting rid of it too! No need of hanging on to things that I really don't need!! It will make my life so much more simple! I am actually looking forward to it! So, here's to a great weekend! I am so jealous of those of you who have a three day weekend! I defintely don't! (E does and he is spending it in Arkansas duck hunting!) But enjoy it if you do and think of me at work on Monday! ;) Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!

When Life Hands You Lemons.....
....Learn how to make orange juice and make them wonder how you did it!
Lately things have been pretty stagnant around here. Nothing really good happening, but nothing really bad happening either. Everything is kind of just in a stand-still, while the calendar presses on. It is a little weird. But, oh well, I guess when there are no major life events, it gives us time to sit back and observe, if we will. Sometimes I like to be able to slow down and really look at the path that I am on. It is interesting to me how my focus shifts from things I thought were so important to other things. That is kind of where I have been lately, a stagnant observer. Well, stagnant isn't entirely accurate, because I have made some changes. Changes in my attitude, changes in my focus, changes in priorities, and some changes in behavior. They have all been changes for the good, and I am happy about where I am going (for now). I figured since the calendar isn't going to stop moving forward, neither should I. So here have been my conclusions lately:
1. Don't depend on other people to make you happy.
2. Surround yourself with people who know your goals and are willing to encourage and/or help you reach them.
3. Find happiness where you are. There is a reason you are there, so learn from it.
4. Appreciate what you have. We are all in a society where we always want more, this can be a good thing, except when it gets in the way.
5. Pay attention to more things around you.
So, these are a few of them. Thanks for listening. It is Friday, hope you all have a GREAT weekend!

Friends

Well, we find ourselves in another Friday! This week (here in the South) school started back for most, so there is a lot more traffic in the morning and less people out during lunch. I miss school! I was always so excited for school to start back from the time I was in kindergarten to the time I graduated college. I really did love it. And I loved everything about it.
One thing I do miss is friends though. When I was in high school, I didn't hang around the same people I did in elementary and junior high, and when I went to college, I lost touch with most of the people from high school. And now that I am out of college, I have lost touch with a lot of my friends from college (minus a few of my bests). But it is so funny how people change and grow over the years, and how we really come full circle. Lately, I have reconnected with a few friends that I had way back when in elementary and middle school, and it is so neat to see how much we have changed. People go down so many different paths to get where they are going, but somehow, paths usually always cross again. It is so funny (the whole 6 degrees of separation thing). But I must say, i am enjoying it. The other day, I was given a prayer request through Footprints Ministry that I told you about in this post, and it was for a baby here in Montgomery in the NICU. I went to his parent's blog and saw a picture of his mom, and realized that she was my dance team sponsor and a teacher when I was a Freshman in high school! Crazy how we ended up in the same town (4 hours from where we started) and I crossed paths with her 10 years later through a ministry! Don't you love when things like that happen? I sure do. It has been fun reconnecting with people from my past! Have any of you reconnected with people lately that you have built new friendships with??
Well, I hope you all have a great weekend, it is Friday, so this weekend I am traveling to Huntsville for an adventurous weekend. What? You thought I was done traveling for a while? Do you honestly thing I would stay at home for 2 weekends in a row?? Not. A. Chance. ;) Happy weekend!

Remembering
Well, this morning, Jessica tagged me in a blog award where you have to name 7 things about yourself, and I can't think of 7 things that I haven't already told you. (I will post and participate when I think of some) Until my brain starts working I will tell you about my day!
It has been a day of remembering. It has been kind of weird.
1. Some guy in my building at work got on the elevator with Abercrombie and Fitch cologne. I really don't like this smell, and it brought back memories from my high school days!
2. There is a cute little man and his grandson that have a hot dog stand at the corner of my street where I work and I decided since I didn't have much time I stop by and get a hot dog (I am not a big fan of hot dogs BTW, I have to be in the mood, but it was close, cheap and I had no other real option). Anyway, it reminded me of living in DC when we would get hot dogs on the weekends when we would go out and about exploring.
3. La Grange by ZZ Top just came on my Pandora mix. When I was in college, my roommate Heather and I had this deer that she bought and we hung on the wall (first in the sorority house, secondly in our apartment) and it was the kind that sang and talked and moved its head. Yeah, it was funny. So, he sang that song and I laughed out loud thinking of all the fun we had with that thing!!
4. The lobby of my building has a funny smell. It is a familiar song and I could never remember what it reminded me of. Well, today, it came to me! It smells like my friend's apartment (on-campus) from college. No matter how much spray, cleaning stuff or anything we used, it always smelled the same, weird. Like the lobby of my building. Great.
Well, it is Friday! I hope you all have a great weekend! I will report back on Monday with some sort of adventure, I am sure!!!

Friday!!
Well, I couldn't leave for the weekend without telling everyone to have a great weekend!! I will be traveling to Nashville, so I am sure I will have a fun-filled post for you on Monday! In the meantime, because people are being so negative lately, my challenge (inspired by Jessica) is to tell a pregnant lady she is "cute" instead of "huge" and to thank a soldier for his/her service (or their family, they make sacrifices as well).
Have a happy weekend! Let me know if you complete the challenge!!
Here's mine: Jessica, you are so cute, and I can't wait to meet Baby Martin, and thanks to you and Adam for his service and your sacrifice to our country!
