Today is FRIDAY! It is bittersweet! I am ending my first "big girl" job out of college after three years. I am moving back to my hometown which is where I will settle with E, plan a wedding, be closer to my family and begin a new chapter! I am so excited to see where this journey takes us!
Hope you all have a happy Friday! Think of me tomorrow while I (and when I say I, I mean E and my dad) am packing a UHAUL and moving! Should be so much fun!

Is this for real?
I was telling my boss's wife about the proposal today and it made me start thinking about it all over again, more than I already do. And I don't think I ever told you about the part where I said "Is this for real?" to E! Ha! After I opened the book, which had the picture of the ring and the words Will You Marry Me?, I turned to see E on his knee with a "for real" ring. But I was so shocked, I just had to ask, "Is this for real?"
I kind of forgot about it at the time, but now looking back, it is really funny that I had evidence that it was in fact, for real, but I thought I better ask anyway! Ha! How silly. So now, we have a running joke about cheesecake and "is this for real?".
That is about all I have, just thought I would share something to lighten your day! I am working away and making so many mental (and real lists about what all I need to do when I go home after work. I wish I could just pile all of my stuff in the living room so I could pack while watching TV because I am so lazy like that! HA! I mean, I do that to an extent, like bring my dishes and sit them on the couch and put them in boxes so I can watch TV and pack my kitchen at the same time! HA!
Have a great Wednesday! By the way, have I mentioned how much I love blogging because I meet some really awesome people? Because I have and it has been great connecting with people that I would have never met but whom I have so much in common with!

Anyway friend
[via]
Last night I was at home packing some of my stuff and watching some of my DVR'd shows. I watched the rest of Private Practice and it was really cute. A little background (if you don't watch the show, you probably won't get it, but the point in the end is all that matters anyway) Mya is Sam and Naomi's (Sam and Naomi are divorced now) 15 year old daughter. She recently found out she is pregnant and wanted to get married. So, even though they don't agree with it, Sam has agreed to sign the papers for her to get married, because he knows he probably won't see his daughter if he doesn't. Naomi chooses to just ignore the situation and not have anything to do with it. So Sam plans the wedding without Naomi, eventually on Mya's wedding day, Naomi comes around and realizes that it is more important to put her feelings aside and be there for her daughter on her wedding day. She shows up to the wedding just as Sam is about to walk Mya down the aisle and is there to be part of her day. At the reception, Sam gives the father of the bride toast and it was really cute, and really got me thinking.....he made a speech about Mya saying he was her "anyway friend" and that he hopes she has found another anyway friend in her new husband.
Now, if you are like me, you are like an anyway friend? What is that? Well, he goes on to explain that an anyway friend is someone who, no matter what is going on, no matter what you do, say, look like, they still love you anyway, they are still your friend anyway. It really got me to thinking about the people in my life. I am not one to really open up to people, but if I do, I love hard and I give it my all. I have only found a few people who are capable of looking beyond the here and now and being an anyway friend. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we treated everyone who was close to us as an anyway friend? No matter what people did or what we did, we knew we could count on those closest to us to be an anyway friend. Oh, our lives would be so much happier! I am thankful for my anyway friends, and thankful I am gaining another one for life soon, and I hope that people know that I can be their anyway friend.
Just a thought. Happy Tuesday!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!!
What a busy weekend I had!! First of all I drove to Huntsville after work on Friday and E had dinner cooked when I got there! It was oh so yummy! (We both LOVE to cook, so this is gonna be fun!) Then Saturday, we started our registry stuff! Let me tell you, it was fun, but so overwhelming! The lady at BBB was so helpful though, and we ended up having a lot of fun!! That night, we went to the neighbor's house for a little cookout with them and another couple, so that was a lot of fun! Sunday, the weather was absolutely beautiful, so we took Scout for a walk and did some more registry stuff. We went to Home Depot and got some supplies for a little home improvement project that we thought up over coffee, so we will see how that turns out! Hopefully, just like we think it will! This week is going to be a hectic one around here, and I am sorry if I become a little MIA but, I am moving!! That's right, Friday is my last day in the office (although I will be freelancing in the future some) and I am moving! I am very excited to be starting a new chapter! (And to get full force into wedding planning, there isn't too much time left)!
I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend, it sounds like most of you had some really pretty weather as well! I wish it would have stayed that way! But of course, it didn't and it is gray and cloudy today and is supposed to get colder tomorrow. Oh well, maybe the warm weather is coming soon!! I am SO ready for Spring and Summer!!
Happy Monday!

The ring in the sunshine at breakfast the next morning!!
Our attempt at a self portrait on our balcony with the beach in the background. This is a picture of a picture, so I will upload the whole thing when I get it!

Lots and Lots to share!!
Well, first of all, I forgot to take a picture of my awesome box that I got from Jenny!!! We participated in a Valentine's blog swap with Kaite at Loves of Life! It was the cutest thing ever! Since I am aweful and didn't take a picture, I will tell you what all was in it....LOTS of chocolate (which I LOVE) a HUGE thing of Whoppers (my favorite) the cutest card EVER (very funny)!! Some hair stuff, lip gloss and lotion from VS (my favorite) and even a cute little toy for Scout from his new friend Mr. Bondi! It was the best thing ever! Thanks Jenny!! Everything was wonderful! You are the BEST!!
Now on to my weekend....again, sorry I have no pictures! Maybe if someone reads this, they can send me the ones they have *hint, hint..E*. Anyway, my weekend started off last Tuesday night when C and I went to Birmingham to see John Mayer (this was before hos racy comments) and we actually had a BLAST! The concert was great and we had so much fun!! E met us in Birmingham on Wednesday and he and I headed for the beach! We went to Orange Beach! Even though it was chilly, it was still really pretty! I mean who doesn't like waking up to the ocean everyday! We went down to celebrate E's birthday on Thursday, but little did I know, so much more was planned! E and I are both big cooks so we decided we would cook more than go out to eat, so on his birthday, we cooked the BEST shrimp dish EVER! I made him a Key Lime Cheesecake for his birthday before we went. Anyway...we cooked dinner and were sitting around enjoying each other and wine when he asked for some cheesecake! He mentioned that he as going to go change clothes and get comfortable if I would fix the cheesecake. He came back to the kitchen a few minutes later and handed me a present. I probably looked at him funny and he said, I got you something for MY birthday! I thought that was odd, but opened it anyway. It looked and felt like a book, so I assumed that is what it was. But I opened it to a book that had two sides. One side was a picture of a beautiful ring and the other side were the words..."Will you marry me?" I was shocked at this point, looked to see that E was on one knee with a ring in his hand. I think I said, "Is this for real?" and He asked me if I would marry him, I said yes! That is how he wanted to celebrate his birthday!! Isn't that sweet?!
We enjoyed the rest of the weekend in newly engaged bliss! The made our rounds Sunday to the parents. We got snowed in Monday and today and I drove back home today! We are SO excited! Maybe I will have pictures for you soon!!
Hope you all have a GREAT TUESDAY!! Happy FAT TUESDAY! Laissez les bon temps roulez!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope you all are celebrating things and people you love! Although I don't think it should take a holiday to remind us to show people we love them, we should do it everyday!!
E and I are on our way home from the beach today! Happy day of love!

Going, going.....
Gone!
For a few days at least! Tonight, C and I are going to Birmingham to see John Mayer and Michael Franti and probably scream like two ten year olds at a jonas Brothers Concert, but oh well, it should be fun. Actually, I CAN'T WAIT!!
Then, Wednesday, E and I are going South to the beach for a few days to get away and celebrate his birthday and just relax a bit!
Hope you all have a great week! I will try to pop in every now and then but, no guarantees!!

Life's a dance....
...we learn as we go, sometimes we lead, sometimes we follow. Don't worry 'bout what you don't know. Life's a dance we learn as we go.

Friday is finally here! I have been begging for its arrival all week! I feel like it has taken FOREVER to get here! But, it is in fact here and I am so excited! I have needed this weekend! I am ready to see E (it has been 2 weeks!!) and I am ready to see my BFF (it has been almost 2 years) and I just need to breathe! I feel like I have being going around in circles lately. I haven't been in the best of moods and I have been letting situations that are out of my control, control me. So today, I was driving to work and listening to the radio and the song "Life's a Dance" came on and I think it was exactly what I needed to hear! Especially before the start of my Friday and what could turn out to be a great weekend! So here's to learning to dance...and letting someone else lead. Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm sure I will have lots to tell on Monday!

Long week!
Is it just me or is this week dragging as well! All day long I have thought that it was Thursday and tomorrow was going to bring my beloved Friday to me. However, I was sadly mistaken and tomorrow only brings Thursday! Bummer! Oh well! I can make it one.more.day.
Let's take a minute to talk about snail mail! I love it! I am sad that not many people send it anymore and the sincerity of a personal, hand-written note is long being forgotten! I try to send cards all the time! Once a week usually if you are E! There is just something about opening the mailbox to find a bright colored envelope sandwiched between a bill or a Victoria's Secret catalog! Yesterday I was tricked! I got all excited about a blue envelope sitting all by its lonesome in my mailbox only to pick it up and discover it was a mini Tiffany's catalog in their signautre blue envelope! I was kinda bummed! But I am excited because I won a givaway from Brittany at Southern Belle and her Beau, so that should be coming soon, and I am getting ready to send my valentine's swap package to my partner, so I should be getting one in return soon! Hopefully I will have some snail mail arriving soon! If anyone is interested in sending/receieving some, let me know! It never goes out of style!
Well, I hope you all are having a great week! Happy Wednesday, not Thursday! Hang in there one more day!

Lovely
[via]
Well, this weekend, I wasn't snowed in, but I pretended I was so I could get a lot of things done around the house! And boy did I get a lot done this weekend! I got rid of 7 garbage bags full of stuff that was just hanging around that I know I am not going to need anymore. Now, I have the MOUNTAIN of clothes that I am getting rid of. Hopefully I can get in contact with a women's shelter in town and see if they will take some of these clothes! I also cleaned a long the way! I am ALMOST done. I had to take time out to watch Miss America on Saturday night and The Grammys on Sunday. I also had to run some errands on Saturday, which took a little bit of time. But all in all, I had a very productive weekend! It was great!
Now, today, February begins! I always like February because it is a very lovey month! I mean in all of the stores, there is nothing but pinks and reds and it is lovely (no pun intended). This is also going to be a great month, as I have mentioned before because 1. Me and C are going to a John Mayer/Michael Franti concert NEXT WEEK!! 2. It is E's birthday NEXT WEEK. 3. I get to go to the beach for a few days NEXT WEEK. 4. I get to see my BFF that I haven't seen in almost 2 years THIS WEEKEND at her engagement party! I am SO excited! Now I just have to come up with something to wear! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Everything in the stores is starting to look like Spring, and it is still Winter you know and it is February, so I don't want to freeze my butt off, but I also don't want to look frumpy! Oh the pains of picking out the perfect outfit! Grr!
Well, Happy Febrauary! I hope you all have a "lovely" month! I know I am looking forward to everything that I have going on this week and next! Hope you start your week off on the right foot! I am ready to get home and finish picking up a bit, start Shred level 2, and anxiously await the surprise arrival of my big brother who is passing through for the night!
